Disruptive Behaviour A. Entering the room inappropriately, not being ready to start or being late for class B. Not sitting in your allocated seat C. Not bringing all equipment to class D. Not following the safety rules of the laboratory E. Not respecting teacher’s authority or following instructions F. Not completing a consequence G. Talking off task, yelling out or talking too loudly H. Using a mobile phone I. Not working in class or poor bookwork J. Damaging, stealing, or disturbing the property of other people K. Violent, aggressive, offensive, dangerous or bullying behaviour Consequences A. Warning B. Counselling C. Re-enter the room correctly D. Stand up in class E. Isolation in class F. Moved to another seat temporarily G. Moved to another seat permanently H. Copy class and safety rules out I. J. No participation in practical lessons Copy from text book K. Complete unfinished work in your free time L. Sent out of class M. Detention N. Stay back after lesson O. Sent to another class for the rest of the lesson P. Clean room, desks, and chairs Q. Referred to the head teacher R. Behaviour monitoring sheet and Student welfare report S. Contact parent Rewards Receive a stamp for completing all of a lessons work in class. Receive a science award for 5 stamps. Receive a science award for doing more than is expected in a lesson. Handing out equipment and worksheets when required. Sent for errands when required. Procedures The teacher will stamp your book at the end of each lesson if your work is complete. The teacher will mark your book regularly. The teacher will write name of students with warning on the board. If your behaviour improves then the teacher will take your name off the board. If you continue disruptive behaviour then you will receive a consequence. Your name will be recorded if you receive a consequence. If you are frequently disruptive then you will receive more severe consequences. Enter the room correctly. Listen to instructions. Whisper when working and only about science. Follow the safety rules of the laboratory. Use experimental equipment correctly and calmly.
